The company has diversified its activities into the Power sector. The company owns more than 10 windmills in three states. The company has chosen Suzlon Energy to serve all its windmill requirements. The company has set windmills in the following states:-

Gujarat:
SFPL has set up two 1.25MW windmills in the state of Gujarat. Both the windmills are used for captive use only. Tamil Nadu:

All the three windmills are selling power only to the government. The company has entered into a long term contract with the government to sell at a specific rate.

Maharashtra:
The Maharashtra Government is offering a high price for power so the company has grabbed the opportunity and is planning to set up 8 X 1.25MW in Maharashtra. The windmills will be selling all the power they generate to the government.
