Power sector. The company owns more than 10
windmills in three states. The company has chosen
Suzlon Energy to serve all its windmill
requirements.

SFPL has set up two 1.25MW windmills in the state of
Gujarat. Both the windmills are used for captive use
only. The company is saving up on its electricity
bill as the windmills generate enough power to
satisfy the needs of the Porbandar Plant and the
Mundra Plant. This is just one example of how the
promoters have cut their costs to the bare minimum
to offer competitive prices to its buyers. |

The promoters have
always been entrepreneurs and have always looked
to expand each business they have started. The
company has set up three windmills each of
capacity 1.25MW. All the three windmills are
selling power only to the government. The
company has entered into a long term contract
with the government to sell at a specific rate. |

The Maharashtra
Government is offering a high price for power so
the company has grabbed the opportunity and is
planning to set up 8 X 1.25MW in Maharashtra.
The windmills will be selling all the power they
generate to the government. |
Container Freight Station Expansion –
Saurashtra Containers Pvt. Ltd.
The directors have expanded their business into the
shipping industry. They have purchased 25 acres of
land next to Adani Port which is in Mundra to set up
a state of the start Container Freight Station under
the company name of Saurashtra Containers. The
container business is expected to boom in the near
future. Container shipping will require bigger ships
to call and Mundra with its deep draft of 18 metres
which is strategically well placed to cater to the
growth.
One of the main reasons why the directors chose to
set up the container Freight Station is because the
CFS will come under the proposed Mundra Special
Economic
Zone. The company is planning to cash in the growing
market as Mundra Port is expected to handle more
than 25 000 TEUs per month. The CFS will be
commissioned by next year and will be equipped with

Proposal for Setting up Port based Heat –
Recovery Coke Plant With Power Generation
Saurashtra Fuels Private Limited is planning to
enter into the International Coke market and for the
same the company is planning to set up a port- based
heat- Recovery Coke Plant in Mandwi Taluka of Kutch
district.
The capacity of this plant will be 2 million tonnes
making it the largest Merchant Coke Manufacturing
Company in the country. The company is planning to
have 20 batteries each consisting of 20 ovens.
The company is planning to develop a port in Modhwa
Point in Mandvi taluka of Kutch District. The port
will be used for import of coal for captive
consumption and export of coke. The port will be
able to handle alls size vessels including capsize
vessels. The port will be on the east-south side of
the Mandwi town near the village Gundaili in the
Gulf of kutch. The nearest airport is Bhuj which is
approximately 78 kms. The port will be approachable
by the State highway roads and by rail.
The company is planning to generate power in the
coke plant, by the help of thermal power plants. The
company is looking at producing 8 MW per battery,
total generation of 160 MW.
